Sid The Snob!?

So, you can guess my amazement at being branded a “snob” on a darts forum. Where they got this idea from, I just don’t know. I am certainly not an inverted “snob”, as I certainly believe in a pluralistic society – where each should be proud of his own station in life.

And as for Maggie George of Barking (MAD) in Essex, who says that I am Sky’s ‘blue-eyed boy’…… let me tell you darling, my eyes are green and I get bollocked more than anyone else for my patter.

So far I have been very impressed by the standard of two international players – Tomas Seyler from Germany and John Kuczynski of the USA.

Both lads showed that they were well equipped to rub shoulders with the elite of world darts.

Sid’s Stiletto Watch………….have seen none today but three guys called Brian have tried to sell me a second-hand car…….that’s Essex for you!

With any luck, I will soon be made a Freeman of Stoke-on-Trent. Phil and Yvonne Taylor presented me with my Christmas present – a fantastic social history of labour in The Potteries, with a special section on the famous Saggers Pub.

Finally, my big Geordie Lip is very proud to be flapping in praise of Adrian Lewis. The first two sets against Dennis Priestley were sensational. We have a new comet in the stars of darts on Sky.
