Ever had one of THOSE days?

Getting a cuppa in the morning and I reached into the fridge to get sugar… not a good start to the day indeed. After I finally worked out that the sugar wasn’t a frozen sweetener I sat down and had my coffee while trying to work out what sort of blog entry I would put in going on what information I had on me (non) and the guidelines Edward had provided.

With all that in mind and my brain going one hundred miles a minute, I closed word and turned the computer off as I wasn’t used to going that hard first thing of the morning so I KNEW it wasn’t going to be a good day! What else was there to do except reach for my darts and go out and practice.
I had just received a set of Unicorn “Big Wing” Flights to try (the black ones), very good indeed and am impressed. Of course this took some convincing seeing as I was using Maestro flights (Black also). Which made me wonder how come my darts were going to the board funny... answer, I had the Big Wing & Maestro flights mixed up, not good!

With the flights now organised I put in an hour just to get the feel of the flights and as before I am impressed. The arvo (afternoon) was pretty good period of time, unfortunately it wasn’t as smooth sailing come night time!Went to darts for local interclub (the team I play for have won every A Grade final for the past 3 years), now I don’t drink but I found myself at the bar which is not a place Im usually seen.

What happened was a team mate wanted a beer and said get yourself a drink as well, so I come back to the area with a beer for me and lemon squash for him!

Definitely I knew my night was going to be bad.

Firstly, I was chalking and when I went to rub the board the material fell off the duster and I was left holding a piece of wood in my hand so had to wipe the board with a handkerchief for the rest of the night. I started to play my game and couldn’t work out why I was getting a sore leg, that was it… I was lifting my foot up to get over the oche that isn’t even raised, something is not right I told myself.

I was 2 legs up and pegged 81 to finish only for my team mate to say BUST! I said “OI”, he said you must have looked at the wrong side, you wanted 61 to go out not 81. At the end of it all we had won yet again but I was left wondering.

Should I have stayed in bed longer this morning or maybe had have a stronger coffee?

Who knows but I bet Im not the only one who has ONE of those days!
