I was smacko-de-gobbo at the breadth and depth of comment.
I liked the ‘Waddellesque’ style of Miles ‘Bim’ Liddell of Canada e.g. ‘Will Hawaii 501 find it is his year to catch the winning wave…’ Bim also interestingly suggested that Fordham’s exhaustion in the Showdown was perhaps tied up with stage fright….Cynical or sensible comment? This site wants all opinions on dartsport.
I wonder if Darren Van Helsing who contacted me is a relative of the veteran Dracula chaser. He is a Taylor fan, but I suggest he stays away from Ted Hankey – a lump of garlic and a wooden stake can cause offence. And Ted really should find a new charity shop to get the cloaks…
Donny and Angelique Zandvliet complain that they cannot get my flights of verbal fancy on RTL5 in Holland. Don’t tell the anoraks of the BDO – they’ll be emigrating in their thousands over the Nort Zee.
Dave Stainer of the Sportsmen pub in Morley agrees with me that Mace the Ace was a big star at Purfleet. Beating Askew and taking Lloyd to the wire showed the lad’s pedigree. Also, Dave wants to know where Unicorn’s answer to Attila the Hun, alias the Power, gets his hunger. From grafting to support a family in the Potteries, I say. If Brown ever tells Blair to stick the Chancellor’s job… the Power could step in and do the business. Poker; darts; International Monetary fund; debt repayments of Third World countries? Contact Philip.
Finally to thoughts on the new PDC Hall of Fame. John Albertelli of South Wales applauds me for harping on about it for years. He thinks that Alan Evans and Leighton Rees should be next on the list, after the recent induction of Lowe and Bristow. Here is who I would add to the august list, with immediate effect: Bob Anderson, Dennis Priestley, John Thomas Wilson, Phil Taylor, John Part, Paul Lim.
All the best Hissing Sid.
