Irina celebrated the end of her first year with Team Unicorn by winning the Finland Open in Tampere.

After a 12-hour journey to get to the venue, the pressure was on because she was the No.1 seed! But Irina didn’t disappoint – beating local favourite Sari Nikula by 4 legs to 1 in the final.

She is now on the verge of the World’s top 10 and more importantly, her success in Finland guarantees her spot in the play-offs for the World Masters and Lakeside World Championship later this year.

The Russian-born darts star, who lives in Germany, completed a double at the tournament – winning the Blind Draw Couples event. Everyone’s name goes into a hat and they could be drawn to partner anyone in the competition.

Irina paired up with Dutchman Rob Tileman. They beat Ronalds Mezals from Latvia and Finland’s Juho Korpi 3-1 in the final.

And if that wasn’t enough, she went on to make it a hat-trick of wins on the final day of the Finnish Open – teaming up with local girl Tarja Salminen to win the Ladies Pairs event.
