Seven Team Unicorn stars are still fighting it out after a dramatic opening day at the US Open in Connecticut.
Phil Taylor, Kevin Painter, Mick McGowan, John Part, Peter Manley, Barrie Bates and Andrew Hamilton have all won through to the last 16 at the Mohegan Sun Casino Resort.
But there was huge disappointment for Colin Lloyd and Colin Osborne, who were both beaten in the 1st Round. Lloyd threw away a 2 sets lead to lose to American Jim Widmayer, while Osborne lost to Isen Veljic.
Kevin Painter set up a showdown with Phil Taylor after coming through a tough route. He was a set down to No.1 US Ladies star Stacey Bromberg but fought back to win and he was behind all the way in his clash against Michael Van Gerwen, before winning the last two legs to take it 3 sets to 2.
